As announced by Nethaera (source), the developers of Warcraft are conceptualizing a system to allow Alliance players to convert their characters to Horde and vice-versa. Once "City of Heroes/Villains" implemented this change, I was almost positive that WoW wouldn't be that far behind.

Once this change is rolled-out, I will be saying farewell to the Alliance and starting over, as I probably should have in the first place, as the tauren I should have been, right from the get-go. I've gone from hating this change, to embracing it, as my character was rolled as an Ally, out of sheer peer pressure. That's all going to change, when this become official.
No longer will I have to deal with humans, and suffer the anguish of siding with gnomes.
